Anniversary Dinner, 2013 update

The dinner in October 2013 was quite simply a success and a great many friendships were rekindled. The book launch is postponed until later in 2014 and possibly as late as the normal October meeting of The Trafalgar Club: for that purpose and to confirm the interim Chairman, Mark Barlow (mark@thetrafalgarclub.org.uk) and interim Treasurer, Miranda Hayward (miranda@thetrafalgarclub.org.uk).

Meanwhile the Gallery holds relatively low resolution images of the dinner last October. Please email events@thetrafalgarclub.org.uk if you would like a high resolution image of any particular picture; identify it by its reference number. There is no charge for electronic delivery.

The shutters come down on 31 March in respect of any further paper submissions for inclusion in the book. Proofing continues to contributors over the next few weeks concluding by Easter.

About The Trafalgar Club

The Club was formed in the autumn of 1983 and held its first meeting in the Trafalgar Room on Trafalgar Day at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, London. At that time the club was working under the title of the 1983 Committee but immediately recognised the relevance of changing its name to The Trafalgar Club - especially as the club was primarily formed to ensure the YMP movement continued to have a voice in the affairs of the printing industry following on from the less than encouraging report published by Lord McGregor. Full membership of the club was restricted to past National YMP chairmen but, for some years now, has included those YMP's awarded the Collins Quaiche for outstanding service. In practice many former YMP's attend the club's annual dinner in London.
